or perhaps a creative concern such as a band

Blogging is now
truly a part of mainstream Internet culture with bloggers weaving words on
every subject under the sun.

If you are looking
to raise awareness of your brand or business, or perhaps a creative concern
such as a band, your art or you’re promoting other companies products through
affiliate marketing then blogging is a must!

Let’s look at 5
main reasons why you should start blogging as soon as possible.

Search Engines Love Blogs

Search engines such
as Google and Yahoo! love blogs because they represent fresh and constantly
updating content that they can index in their search results. Because of this
you’ll find as time goes by and you add more content your posts will start to
appear more frequently.

Each blog post that
you publish is building your domain into a powerhouse of expertise and
authority. Each new post also has its’ own permalink. This is like having a new
page added to your website and another piece of content the search engines can
index.

Increased Traffic

Getting more visits and traffic is the lifeblood of any blog or website and
blogs tend to get a lot more traffic for several reasons. The first is they
rank easier in search engines as I’ve mentioned. Social media gives people an
easier way to recommend and share blog content they like through social
bookmarking as well as platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

Engage with your visitors and get feedback

Blogs make it easy to engage with your visitors with commenting. If you start
conversations with your readers they are much more likely to look at what
services and products you’re offering elsewhere on your blog.

Build a List

Your blog should also have a list building element so that visitors can be
converted into regular visitors and customers at a later date. You’ll need to
offer something in return for the users name and email such as a newsletter, or
a report, video or something that they can their hands on straight away.

Even if you just
have subscribers to your RSS feed (your blog’s content) this is better than
nothing.

Content Syndication

All your content is carried on your RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feed. This
includes all copy, pictures, video and audio. Your RSS feed can easily be
shared and syndicated across the Internet helping your content get much wider
exposure.

There are many
other reasons to blog, but take these main reasons and you should see why you
need to start as soon as possible.
