Repeat Until Memorized

I remember, as a child, raptly watching a Saturday morning adventure TV show where the hero was captured a shot "bad guys" who gave him the "Ancient Water Torture" at peace to extract recondite information. Seems our hero was tied down while an undying amount of water was dropped on his forehead, in stages, until he would capitulate and divulge the secrets. Of course, the hero managed to miraculously extract himself "just in the nick of time" and save the world as he did whole Saturday morning.
Today the "Ancient Water Torture" is silent common knowledge. It is an valid technique employed by mass marketers. They drip, drip, drip the tantamount information in the tantamount "voice" come again until we, as consumers, can nevermore forget it. The technique works by and large media. The exceptive element is repetition (drip), repetition (drip), and more than ever repetition (drip, drip, drip).
