Obyan notables include one-time 8-ball sinkers Nong Detdon of Shark Attack and X-Tream's George Lizardo along with one-time rack runners Tero Takai of Best Choice Ray Ban Sunglasses, X-Tream's Joey Agulto, Fotten Palau's John Mongami, Fotten Palau's Arnel Orbita, Turtles' Patrick Cepeda, and X-tream players Chester Cuento and Bobby Lozano. Willie Oney worked his way through a small field of 14 entrants on hand for the May 7 stop on the Dishaw Cues Central New York Tour, and completed the single-day, $300-added event undefeated Burberry Sunglasses. It was Oney's second win on the 2011 tour, with both wins occurring at Shooter's Billiards in Fulton, NY.
Oney had to get by Joe Giancarelli twice to chalk up the victory, and did so first, among the winners' side final four. He shut out his eventual finals opponent in their first meeting, as Gary Lloyd was busy defeating Dave Howard in a double hill battle Miu Miu Sunglasses. Oney gained the hot seat with an 8-3 victory over Lloyd.
