is using RetinaPad since it was shot back in February

Well, if you happen to have a jailbroken iPad, you can download a $3 app from Cydia called RetinaPad that does a really nice job upscaling Retina-enabled iPhone apps from their 960x640-pixel resolution to the iPad's 1,024x768-pixel resolution. As you can see from the image above (click it to enlarge it), Fendi Sunglasses the results are a whole lot better than just hitting the 2x button on an iPhone app, which just blows up the standard iPhone screen resolution (320x480 pixels) and generally looks soft and/or pixelated.
This makes you wonder why you're paying (in some cases) double the price for an iPad version of the same app for a bit of computer code that flips the resolution switch, so to speak Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses. That said, we hope that the "real" iPad version of NBA Jam offers some extra features that the upscaled iPhone version doesn't have. We can only wait and see.
In the meantime, here's some gameplay video Ferragamo Sunglasses. We assume the guy who made this video is using RetinaPad since it was shot back in February.

What's the deal

The $3 RetinaPad app for jailbroken iPads allows users to upscale Retina-enabled iPhone apps to near iPad resolution. (Click image to enlarge and see the difference better--RetinaPad version on the bottom) Carrera Sunglasses.
(Credit: TouchArcade) With the NBA season heading into playoff mode, EA Sports is due to release its over-the-top basketball game, NBA Jam for the iPad, any day Oakley Sunglasses. The game has actually been out for the iPhone for a few months for $4.99, but the iPad version has lagged behind it.
What's interesting is that if you do a search for NBA Jam in Google, you'll find several reviews and screenshots already up and even plenty of videos of the game running on iPads Chanel Sunglasses. However, it's not for sale in the App Store. What's the deal?

The embodiment of a wonderful night on the town

Cash is just one of a few acts signed to NBA ball player Carmelo Anthony's Krossover Entertainment. Last year, Melo spoke to Mixtape Daily about Diego Ca$h cheap designer sunglasses. “We saw someone that was raw talent that a lot of people were overlooking," Anthony told Mixtape Daily. Diego also chimed in regards to the theme of his latest clip "Champagne Life is just feel good music" said Cash Police Sunglasses. "The embodiment of a wonderful night on the town."

Green said during his NBA career

Green said during his NBA career, he often brought along a green teddy bear named “Little A. C.” as a symbol of his commitment to kids. “Little A. C. was a reminder to kids of the values in life,” he said Versace Sunglasses. “It was my way of telling the kids I see you, I feel you and I stand by you. I would put Little A. C. on my shoulders, on top of my head or in my pocket. I even had Little A. C. with me on the bench during games. I was quite surprised when on my first day in this Manila trip, a fan came up to me with a Little A. C. doll. Green said last year, he organized a 3BA tour in five US cities preparatory to forming a professional league for a three-on-three, full-court game. “It’s the basketball version of arena football,” he said. “The full-court is smaller than the regular full-court for a five-on-five game and we use less players, three to a team on the floor Gucci Sunglasses.” There are plans to bring the 3BA game to Asia. Aside from his social advocacy, Green is busy with his business interests – he owns several Denny’s Restaurants and a Hyundai dealership.

those things once they work so hard to get a star

Amar’e Stoudemire clearly is barely keeping it together as he’s suffered most with the acquisition of Anthony. Whereas the Knicks earlier this season were a team being built around Stoudemire’s game, now Stoudemire, an early season MVP candidate Coach Sunglasses, has been left to find a different game. And maybe someone in his family to chant MVP for him. His most recent coach, Alvin Gentry, called him the game’s best pick and roll player. But with Anthony, most of Stoudemire’s plays come now on isolations. And Stoudemire’s game isn’t to create and beat you off the dribble, like Anthony’s. It seems an awful fit. Stoudemire is a career 54.5 percent shooter. In the last 10 games, he is shooting 43.2 percent and under 50 percent since Anthony arrived. He has shot below 40 percent in three of the last five games. Stoudemire still is getting his points, so he’s becoming a volume shooter, taking more shots to get his average and thus making it two isolation players. You never say never, but those are two players who do not seem to mesh Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses. And still without a point guard and center.
It’s difficult to see where the Knicks’ future looks very much beyond being a second tier playoff team. No surprise, but Anthony already has been booed off the court after a loss. The obvious—if generally unspoken next step—is now that you have them, would you trade one? The same question will come up in Miami this summer if they don’t win: Will they try to turn Chris Bosh into a center and point guard Armani Sunglasses? No one ever does those things once they work so hard to get a star.

Would it be politically incorrect to leave out LeBron

Would it be politically incorrect to leave out LeBron, Wade, Anthony, Howard and the like? Or would it be a bold move to push the USA Basketball program into the next era? It would be difficult to ignore the character and talent of this group of players, and for me, I know I’d feel better as an American to see those new guys representing my country Christian Dior Sunglasses.
Knicks 7-12 since trading for Carmelo-- Who exactly is Carmelo Anthony with all his championships to say some teams “shouldn’t be on the court with us,” as he did after the Knicks lost to the Bobcats Saturday after pretty much saying the same thing when they lost to the Bucks again? It’s likelier Anthony is the latest Tracy McGrady, another self involved high scorer who never helped a team anywhere in the playoffs, as McGrady famously never out of the first round Oakley Sunglasses Cheap. Sure, New York is in a frenzy with a 7-12 record since the big trade for Anthony, and we do know it is difficult to fit in major pieces smoothly in mid-season deals. But there are certain players who need teams molded around them, like McGrady and Allen Iverson Arnette Sunglasses, or they won’t be successful. Anthony may be one.

who looked down on that latter group

More immediately, it raises questions about the makeup of the 2012 Olympic team Prada Sunglasses. The general assumption was the 2008 winners would mostly return. Though in talent, it’s already clear some of the young guys have passed them with Rose and Westbrook likely superior to Williams and Chris Paul. You’d easily take Durant over Anthony and Love over Chris Bosh. Kobe Bryant will be too old and beaten up, most likely, and Jason Kidd, Michael Redd, Carlos Boozer and Tayshaun Prince likely wouldn’t be candidates. Which leaves Howard, who played behind Bosh because he can’t shoot, LeBron and Wade? I wouldn’t be surprised to see LeBron and Wade take a pass given the season long endurance race they have with the Heat and having played for several USA teams Louis Vuitton Sunglasses.
If that happens, it likely wouldn’t upset coach Mike Krzyzewski in the least. Chairman Jerry Colangelo always says you’ve built up credits by playing before, and you’d think he’d push for the game’s top names. But intimates say Krzyzewski loved coaching the 2010 team amidst the growing attitude of the 2008 players Replica Oakley Sunglasses, who looked down on that latter group.

to be proud of and sets the league up for a bright future

We, of course, know James’ story from coming into the league and calling himself, the “King.” There’s Carmelo Anthony Fendi Sunglasses, who held his team hostage the last year while moaning and groaning for years about not getting enough attention. Deron Williams famously pouted and complained enough to get Jerry Sloan to give up coaching. Has anyone ever seen anyone complain to officials and make a spectacle of himself more than Dwyane Wade? Dwight Howard wearing Superman capes Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses. Hey, look at me! You think Rose or Durant ever would be whining why they might not get the MVP?
It seems just about all are searching out other location for their talents. You get the sense these kids today want to build something where they are like Magic and Larry and Michael did.
I’m also not sure what it all means Ferragamo Sunglasses, other than it looks very good for the NBA that it’s nascent cluster of stars is something to be proud of and sets the league up for a bright future.

His teammate

His teammate, Russell Westbrook, is another who yearns for more teaching Carrera Sunglasses. There’s Kevin Love in Minnesota, gregarious, outgoing and cooperative. In Golden State this season, Stephen Curry has become a victim of coach Keith Smart, who prefers to feature Monta Ellis. But you never hear anything from Curry. There’s Blake Griffin Oakley Sunglasses, who is filled with that aw shucks back home Oklahoma persona when doing everything but dunking.
They credit their teammates constantly. They push others in front of themselves. You don’t see many interviews with them because they are not about the individual Chanel Sunglasses.
And then there is LeBron and the gang.

with a lot of money at stake if he comes out

NBA talent evaluators love that kind of star turn Coach Sunglasses. Some use the NCAA tournament as an important talent read -- how a small-school product handles the increased competition, how Connecticut's Walker and Kentucky's Brandon Knight fare in the semifinals to break a close race for the No. 2 point guard in the draft behind Kyrie Irving of Duke -- and others allow March and April fractional input after the months of charting that came before them. All want to see how prospects react to the postseason cauldron.
That made Walker one of the Draft winners of the tournament Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses, beyond being one of winners, period. Knight too, and maybe even Knight more. Walker already had an impressive body of work as a junior and he wouldn't drop much unless he really panicked in the madness. He also couldn't climb the board much unless he grew a couple inches between weekends Armani Sunglasses.
But Knight was a freshman, on the big stage for the first time, with a lot of money at stake if he comes out.

all special and all his own

The announcement, which James made on live television, prompted the Cavaliers' owner Dan Gilbert to issue an open letter to fans stating: "You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal Christian Dior Sunglasses. This shocking act of disloyalty from our home-grown 'chosen one' sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And who we would want them to grow up to become."
In a further twist, James's mother Gloria – who raised her son by herself after his ex-convict father left – was arrested in Miami Beach early yesterday morning after an alleged altercation with a valet at a hotel Oakley Sunglasses Cheap.
Kemba Walker got his validation Monday night in Houston. UConn's national championship win over the Butler Bulldogs was Walker's stamp of approval, the moment that capped his 2010-11 of clutch shots and supreme leadership Arnette Sunglasses, all special and all his own.

he's done it with the 76ers

There aren't many contracts in the NBA that I don't find ludicrous, and Brand's is as ridiculous as the rest. Let's move past what we can do nothing to change Coach Sunglasses. He's only in the third year of a five-year deal. I choose to focus on the following points in a rare moment of optimism: he tied career highs in games played and games started, only missing one because of a flagrant foul infraction. Despite getting along in NBA years, his averages in minutes, field goal and free throw percentages, rebounds, blocks, assists and points per game have all improved from the previous year. That, and he is the unquestionable leader of this team in the locker room Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses. I doubt there were many people in Philly expecting that, and I admit to being one of them.
2. BUYING IN—Whenever you have a new coach in professional sports, the players more than likely have an idea of who they are and what the philosophy might be entering the first season under their tutelage. Armani Sunglasses Doug Collins has the reputation of being a guy who pulls burning teams from the ashes and dusts them off to uncover the salvageable materials within. He's done it in Chicago, Detroit and Washington over the last 25 years, and this year, after climbing out of a 3-13 hole, he's done it with the 76ers.

this team to the bottom of the Delaware River

Jeff Skibiski, Forum Blue & Gold: Aside from injuries, the Lakers' biggest worry at this point has to be the prospect of facing an athletic team like Miami in the NBA Finals. L.A. matches up well with Chicago and Boston Christian Dior Sunglasses, but the tandem of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade has given the Lakers fits in their two meetings this season.
The Philadelphia 76ers dropped their regular season finale Wednesday night to the Detroit Pistons, 104-100, without Andre Iguodala(notes) (tendinitis) and Lou Williams (hamstring). Who cares? All the game, which featured lineups that dipped deep into both benches, could have done for the Sixers is leave them with a record over the .500 mark. So now they're stuck right on it. A couple of months ago no one in Philly or the NBA would have believed you if you said they'd end up even. My Sixer fan brethren and I have no dillusions about them taking out the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs Oakley Sunglasses Cheap, but then again, this team is full of surprises. Let's take a look at five of the more pleasant ones from the 2010-11 regular season:
1. ELTON BRAND(notes)—A lot of Sixer fans would look at the signing of Elton Brand and his existing contract as the cinder block sinking this team to the bottom of the Delaware River Arnette Sunglasses.

and Steve Blake combine for 48 unproductive minutes a night at the point

John Hollinger, ESPN.com: It has to be Andrew Bynum's health, because he's always been the wild card for this team Prada Sunglasses. When he's healthy their size up front is something virtually no team can match; without him, the Lakers become a very beatable offense-first outfit.
Brendan Jackson, Celtics Hub: The Lakers' biggest worry is the same as the Celtics', it just has not been as apparent Louis Vuitton Sunglasses. The Lakers will need all of their key guys healthy in order to have the clear advantage in the playoffs, with the biggest red flag being Andrew Bynum.
Bret LaGree, Hoopinion: The biggest worry is that their defensive effectiveness is highly reliant on Andrew Bynum's good health Replica Oakley Sunglasses. Which says something given that Derek Fisher and Steve Blake combine for 48 unproductive minutes a night at the point.

for people to overlook pesky San Antonio this year

Jeff Skibiski, Forum Blue & Gold: Utah needs Favors to develop quickly and, at some point Fendi Sunglasses, move some of the pieces it acquired in the Williams trade to make a move for a bona-fide All-Star. Like the post-Melo Nuggets, the Jazz roster has some nice players; in their case, though, the whole is not greater than the sum of their parts.

5. What is the main worry for the Lakers as they roll toward a three-peat Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses?

Spencer Hall, Salt City Hoops: The Lakers can't ignore the Spurs and get caught thinking about potential opponents from the East Ferragamo Sunglasses. The emergence of the Bulls has provided another chance for people to overlook pesky San Antonio this year.

for most teams -- would have to go spectacularly right

John Hollinger, ESPN.com: When they move to Seattle. (Calm down, Utah people, I'm kidding). Seriously, it may be a while Carrera Sunglasses. There's not a ton of young talent in the cupboard, and while the current team is certainly capable of being decent if everything breaks right, it's tough to see how or when a 50-win season might materialize.
Brendan Jackson, Celtics Hub: The Jazz won't be relevant again until they get another player like Deron Williams. Whether it's Derrick Favors or one of their four first-round picks remains to be seen. Either way, the Jazz shipped out their most valuable player and will need another one to be recognized again Oakley Sunglasses.
Bret LaGree, Hoopinion: If they draft (and/or trade) well this summer and Derrick Favors (19 years old!) fulfills his potential, they could again be a playoff team as early as the 2012-13 season. To be a factor on the national scene, which I presume to mean contending for an NBA championship Chanel Sunglasses, lots of things -- as they must for most teams -- would have to go spectacularly right.

in minutes played per game from 1959-60 to 1968-69 or one full decade

2. Bill Russell - 42.29
Bill Russell led the NBA in minutes played twice in his career and once he led the league in minutes played per game. The one year Russell led the league in minutes played per game was in 1958-59. That year Wilt Chamberlain played for the Harlem Globetrotters because the NBA had dumb rule prohibiting players from joining the league until their college eligibility was up Christian Dior Sunglasses. Wilt quit college after his junior year at Kansas.
Once Wilt joined the NBA in 1959-60 everybody else was playing for second in minutes played per game. In 1964-65 Russell did lead the league in minutes played. Wilt was traded that season from the San Francisco Warriors to the Philadelphia 76ers and only played in 73 games Oakley Sunglasses Cheap.
3. Oscar Robertson - 42.20
Oscar Robertson led the NBA in minutes played per game during the 1964-65 season when he averaged 45.6 minutes per game Arnette Sunglasses. The Big O was the only player other than Wilt Chamberlain to lead the league in minutes played per game from 1959-60 to 1968-69 or one full decade.

than any other NBA player's career average

When Wilt had his 100 point game in 1962 he played every minute of the game which he did for almost that entire season as he averaged 48.5 minutes played per game in 1961-62 Prada Sunglasses. Wilt's team the Philadelphia Warriors played 80 games that season and had 10 OT periods. A total of 3,890 minutes in the season and Wilt played 3,882 minutes that season or 99.8% of all possible minutes.
Wilt led the NBA in total minutes played in 8 out of the 14 years he played and in minutes played per game in 9 years Louis Vuitton Sunglasses. The lowest minutes played total of his career was in 1969-70 when he averaged 42.10 minutes per game and only played in 12 games due to an injury.
Wilt was an absolute iron-man. In his last NBA season in 1972-73 he was 36 years old and played in all 82 games for the Los Angeles Lakers and averaged 43.2 minutes per game Replica Oakley Sunglasses. That is a higher average than any other NBA player's career average.

When my favorite NBA team

When my favorite NBA team the New Jersey Nets moved to New Jersey in 1977 they took Bernard King with their very first pick as the New Jersey Nets. King ended up playing 39.1 minutes per game for the Nets as a rookie which ended up being the highest total of his career Fendi Sunglasses. Had King played that many minutes per game for his career he would be 8th on this list. I went to a lot of Nets games that year as a kid and we were all glad King played that many minutes per game because he was the best player on the team and was magnificent on the fast break Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses.
Most Minutes Played Per Game by Player in NBA History
1. Wilt Chamberlain - 45.80 minutes per game
Wilt Chamberlain basically played 95% of all the possible minutes he could have played in his career. With 48 minutes in a game Wilt played 45.8 minutes on average which works out to 95.4% Ferragamo Sunglasses. Factor out the OT games and it's right around 95%.

they went out and played long minutes every game anyway

Lee said he did not have a projection threshold that would help him decide whether to come back for his senior season. He said UCLA's potential for success with a team that could have everyone returning except sophomore forward Tyler Honeycutt would also be a factor Carrera Sunglasses.
"That's definitely on my mind," Lee said, "… that could be a deciding factor."
These are the 10 players in NBA history that have played the most minutes per game. The first nine players on the list are either in the Basketball Hall of Fame or will be when eligible. The tenth player is not and never will be but players 11 through 15 all are - Dave Cowens, Paul Arizin, Larry Bird, Elvin Hayes and Michael Jordan respectively Oakley Sunglasses.
The first six players on the list are all over 40 minutes played per game on average and includes one active player - LeBron James(notes). Lee and Bruins Coach Ben Howland have submitted a questionnaire to the NBA, which will provide feedback on where teams envision Lee being drafted going into the workouts cheap designer sunglasses.
Howland said he supported Lee's decision to assess his draft status while working out for a handful of teams. One mock draft projected Lee, a first-team all-Pacific 10 Conference selection, to be selected early in the second round Bvlgari Sunglasses. Another did not list him being taken in either round.
"Malcolm's smart," Howland said. "He knows that if from that feedback someone doesn't tell him, 'Hey, we're going to take you in the first round,' then it doesn't make sense [to go in the draft], especially with the [potential] lockout and the fact that he'll be a huge focal point for our team next year Police Sunglasses, both offensively and defensively."

All 10 of the players on Team USA are headed to major college programs

All 10 of the players on Team USA are headed to major college programs, and many of them will be drafted in the NBA lottery over the next couple of years. Of more immediate concern to the dozens of NBA scouts in attendance were several members of the World squad who could be in the draft this June Versace Sunglasses.
Chief among them was Biyombo, who exploited his 7-7 wingspan and the most NBA-ready body on the floor. After a disappointing first quarter, the visitors adapted as Biyombo asserted himself defensively and Polish guard Mateusz Ponitka (who scored a team-leading 17 points) attacked the basket. "He runs the floor, he defends and he's cat-quick,'' said an NBA scout of Biyombo. "His offensive skills need to be developed, but his athleticism screams out Bvlgari Sunglasses.''
"He's Ben Wallace, basically,'' said another NBA executive.
The NBA evaluators spent the week guessing at Biyombo's age as they attended the World Team's practices. A half-dozen NBA scouts and executives told me they believed Biyombo was older than his listed age of 18, based not only on his mature body but also his leadership skills, as he led the Internationals through their pre-practice stretches and was their most vocal and energetic player. Questions of his age won't necessarily damage his stock in the draft Gucci Sunglasses, as his maturity will be viewed as strength. He is forecasted as a first-round pick with a chance to sneak into the lottery.

A lot of time people are saying I can't be so young

"A lot of time people are saying I can't be so young, that I am much older,'' said Biyombo, the 6-foot-9, 243-pound forward/center from Congo who is listed as 18 years old Coach Sunglasses. "It is not the first time I hear this, but I really don't care.''
Biyombo produced the first triple-double ever seen at the Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday, with 12 points (5-of-7 from the field), 11 rebounds and an astonishing 10 blocks in the World Select Team's 92-80 loss to the U.S. Junior National Select Team. The internationals arrived with more size, but the Americans performed as if they were the taller team thanks to their superior athleticism and teamwork. They've been playing together in international competitions Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses, and their cohesion was intimidating from the opening minute. The World players were alarmed by the speed of the game and were forced to hurry their shots against the fast-closing American defenders.
Team USA ran out to a 20-12 lead while blocking six shots and holding the visitors to 3-of-21 shooting (14.3 percent) in the opening quarter. Duke-bound guard Austin Rivers (son of Celtics coach Doc) continued to make a name for himself by going 7-of-11 (3-of-4 from 3-point range) for a game-high 20 points Armani Sunglasses, while the frontcourt play of future Wildcats Anthony Davis (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Michael Gilchrist (16 points and five blocks) suggested that Kentucky will be back in championship contention next season.

the African triple-double prodigy who may be in the NBA next season

One source said that Shurna simply wanted to put his name out in NBA circles and get an evaluation of his game. The 6-foot-8 forward from Glen Ellyn averaged 24.4 points in NU’s first nine games before spraining his left ankle Christian Dior Sunglasses.
In October, Shurna practically blushed over an NBA-related question.
Given that he had scrimmaged against Team USA players such as Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant and Rajon Rondo over the summer in Las Vegas Oakley Sunglasses Cheap, Shurna was asked if the experience made him more or less likely to think he could play in the pros.

“I think it’s wild that I’m getting a question like that,” he replied. “Never in a million years would I have thought I would. You work hard and hope you get the chance just to play college basketball Arnette Sunglasses.”

Shurna declined an interview request through the school

No, the NBA is a large enough global brand to have it own hall of fame.
So let’s get this straight: Vince McMahon has his own (WWE) Hall of Fame and David Stern doesn’t?
No, don’t desert the Naismith Hall Prada Sunglasses, but appreciate that NBA basketball is like no other brand of the game and deserves to be branded as such.
Playing in the NBA apparently no longer seems so incomprehensible to John Shurna.
Shurna has requested an evaluation from the NBA underclassmen advisory panel and expects to hear back by early next week Louis Vuitton Sunglasses. He will then meet with Northwestern coach Bill Carmody to discuss his future, a school spokesman said.
It seems far-fetched that Shurna would even consider turning pro before his senior year, given that an ankle injury and concussion limited him for the final three months of the season. ESPN draft analyst Chad Ford ranks him as the nation’s 127th best prospect Replica Oakley Sunglasses. Shurna declined an interview request through the school.

There is no doubt that basketball success comes at all levels, all nationalities and genders Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses.
But for an entity such as the NBA that so tries to distinguish itself among the major sports leagues, there’s something about following Goose Tatum on the podium, even if the next inductee is Dennis Rodman Ferragamo Sunglasses. Ditto for when Pat Riley had to sit through Dick Vitale’s history of his dipsy-doo dunk-a-roo life (Baby!).

the Timberwolves hold their second pick of the draft

He has fantastic footwork in the post and above-average body control. Benson can finish around the
basket with his left or his right hand. He can use the glass for his shots or he can dunk the ball
with authority Christian Dior Sunglasses; he does both well and in the right situations.
His hook shot has increasingly gotten better throughout his college career and is now a nice
weapon for him to have in his offensive arsenal. Benson also has a solid jump shot from mid-range
out to three-point range.
From a defensive standpoint, Benson locks down the paint. He is a phenomenal shot-blocker and
plays smart defense, which allows him to stay out of foul trouble Oakley Sunglasses Cheap.
Minnesota should not look to Darko Milicic as the long-term answer at center. With that in mind,
drafting Benson in this year's draft and working him into the NBA next year would be the smart
thing to do for the Minnesota Timberwolves and their future Arnette Sunglasses.
His stock is likely to jump from the top of the second round to the middle of the first round,
right where the Timberwolves hold their second pick of the draft.

Arguments against Benson have been

Arguments against Benson have been that he doesn't have the strength to be a quality NBA center
and that he hasn't played against elite opponents in his college career Prada Sunglasses, which in turn inflates
his stats.
If he can gain 15 pounds of muscle, which is very doable, he will rid the criticism about his
strength and weight. Also, the teams in Oakland's conference weren't all that good, but there were
teams he played against in non-conference games that were elite and he had some very impressive
performances throughout his career.

not only relies on his length for a rebound, but his leaping ability, as well.

Rajon Rondo finished with a playoff career-high

-- Rajon Rondo finished with a playoff career-high 30 points on 13 of 23 shooting. Many of his
made shots came at the rim Fendi Sunglasses.
"We talk about it," said Rivers. "He did it. That was terrific. It's good to see he can do that."
The Timberwolves may look to draft a young, promising center that could produce immediately.
Former Oakland Golden Grizzlies center Keith Benson fits that bill.
Benson, 22, thrived in his junior and senior seasons. In his junior season, he posted 17.3 points,
10.5 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. After a season of domination like that Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses, most college
players would have entered the NBA draft.
Benson, on the other hand, declined that opportunity to return for his senior season. All he did
was top his previous season's numbers with a stat line of 17.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.6
blocks per game Ferragamo Sunglasses.

But it was a difficult call

-- The Knicks outrebounded the Celtics 53-37 in Game 2, including a 20-9 edge on the offensive
glass. Rivers said the Celtics struggled on the glass because of their strategy to trap Carmelo
Anthony Carrera Sunglasses.
"That's why you don't like to trap," said Rivers. "Because we had to go trap, we were less one guy
on the glass. So we've got to figure out a better way. They were flying to the glass. They knew
they didn't have their guys and they were going for it. Mike had his guys play hard. They played
free. We were lucky to win Oakley Sunglasses."
-- Jermaine O'Neal left the game in the first half with a mild wrist sprain but later returned. He
did not play in the fourth quarter but Rivers said it wasn't due to health anld that O'Neal could
have played. Glen Davis got the minutes instead Chanel Sunglasses.
"It was a tough call and we won the game," said Rivers. "I don't know if I made the right call or
not, honestly. They were small, and we like Baby stretching the floor a little bit for us. But it
was a difficult call."

We won the game

"We won the game," said Rivers. "That's all we get out of this. Great win. In the playoffs, the
whole key for you is to win games. We did that. It's not that we didn't play hard cheap designer sunglasses. We need to be
smarter. I'm happy my team won the game, but we need to be better than that. It's my job to get it
out of them.
"They had no [Amare] Stoudemire, who's out. No [Chauncey] Billups, who's out. Right when I heard
Stoudemire was out, I turned to Lawrence Frank and said, 'Oh, geez. They've got us right where
they want us right now Bvlgari Sunglasses.'"
Despite the absence of those players and despite New York shooting 35 percent for the game, the
Knicks hung in until the end.
"We just didn't play well," said Rivers. "We didn't execute very well...find a way to win that
game, get through it. But you have to win games. We have to be much better Police Sunglasses. We have to be much
better in New York to win games, and we will be."

He knew what he was doing when he made that pick back in the day

"He knew what he was doing when he made that pick back in the day," Brown said. "Mentally, I
probably wasn't ready. ... I know I put a lot of pressure on MJ by coming back here and I know it
had to be a tough call for him to do that again knowing what the media was going to say Fendi Sunglasses. I
appreciate him. I appreciate the opportunity.
While Brown said he'd like to re-sign, forward Boris Diaw indicated it was a "no-brainer" to pick
up next season's $9 million player option. Jordan had been critical of Diaw a day earlier, saying
he "didn't have a great year Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses."
"It doesn't concern me," Diaw said. "He didn't tell me about it. I do my best on a daily basis."
But to indicate what a strange offseason this could be, Diaw revealed he'll "definitely" play for
the lower-division team he owns in his native France if there is a prolonged lockout, something
union rep Matt Carroll stressed is possible Ferragamo Sunglasses.
"Prepare like there's not even going to be a season, which we would hate that," Carroll said. "We
want to play."

Despite further cost cutting in a February

Despite further cost cutting in a February deal that sent Gerald Wallace to Portland, the 33-year-
old Jackson stressed he wants to return to Charlotte Carrera Sunglasses. Jackson had a different attitude early last
season when he forced his way out of Golden State.
"I told them I don't want to go anywhere else," Jackson said of his exit meeting with Silas and
general manager Rod Higgins. "A lot of people trying to compare this to me wanting to leave Golden
State because they were going young, I don't see that here. We were a couple games out of the
playoffs with the young guys we had Oakley Sunglasses."
Jordan still has plenty of work to do in what could be an odd and eventful offseason. The Bobcats
have two first-round draft picks, one in the lottery and another later in the first round. The
Bobcats have also opened salary-cap space for the first time in several seasons.
Jordan hopes to re-sign center Kwame Brown, who played for the league minimum $1.3 million this
season but became an effective starter Chanel Sunglasses. It was vindication from the constant criticism he got after
being the No. 1 overall pick in 2001 by Jordan when he ran the Washington Wizards.

We didn't feel confident about us being the Bobcats until coach Silas got here

"We didn't feel confident about us being the Bobcats until coach Silas got here. That's when things
started turning around, but i think it was kind of too late then cheap designer sunglasses."
As players scattered for what could be a lengthy offseason depending on how quickly a new labor
deal is reached, the Bobcats expressed confidence that Jordan has an effective plan and the right
staff to make the Bobcats a playoff team.
"We have a good coach now," point guard D.J. Augustin said.
Brown, the only coach to win NBA and NCAA titles Bvlgari Sunglasses, put the Bobcats into the playoffs for the only
time in their brief history a year ago. But after wavering on whether to return in the offseason,
he grew upset as the Bobcats cut costs to get under the luxury tax threshold.
Jordan said he didn't think Brown quit on the team, but said he was "very concerned" with Brown's
attitude.
"I lost respect for him. Not for him being a Hall of Fame coach, I lost respect for how he was
approaching this season and this team," Jackson said. It was gone from there Police Sunglasses. It's hard to play
like that."

Jackson entered then-coach Larry Brown's office

Jackson entered then-coach Larry Brown's office and heard all that was wrong with the team after
offseason departures of point guard Raymond Felton and center Tyson Chandler.
"He basically told me that we weren't going to be good Ray Ban Sunglasses, that we weren't going to be a playoff
team," Jackson said Thursday. "You all know me, I'm not going to accept that from the head coach of
anyone. Telling me before I ever get a chance to see what's going to happen that we're not going to
be good? He lost me there."
The Bobcats quickly lost 19 of their first 28 games with Brown constantly criticizing his team's
heart before owner Michael Jordan fired Brown in December Burberry Sunglasses. Veteran Paul Silas took over and helped
get Charlotte into playoff contention, but the Bobcats finished 34-48 to miss the postseason for
the sixth time in seven seasons.
"That you already know before you even play that he has no confidence in you, it's kind of hard to
go to war with a guy like that Miu Miu Sunglasses," Jackson said of Brown. "I think that's when he lost the team.

has two underclassmen among the

"After talking it over with my family, I have decided that I will forgo my senior year and enter
into the NBA draft," Leslie said in a statement. "I would like to thank UGA for giving me the
opportunity Versace Sunglasses, as well as coach Fox and the staff in helping me to improve my game. Last but not
least, I'd like to thank the Georgia fans for their support over the past three years."
Leslie showed steady progress after averaging 6.3 points as a freshman. He was one of the most
improved players in the Southeastern Conference as a sophomore, boosting his average to 14.8
points, and briefly considered entering the draft a year ago Bvlgari Sunglasses.
He's a bit undersized for a shooting guard and still working on his perimeter game, but his
athleticism has some projecting him to be a late first-round or early second-round pick.
"It was my pleasure to coach Travis," Georgia coach Mark Fox said. "It has been a real joy to see
him develop as a player the past couple of seasons. He has made a decision to pursue his dream and
we wish him nothing but the best Gucci Sunglasses."
The NBA draft is June 23. This will be the first time that Georgia has two underclassmen among the
pool of players.

UCLA guard Malcolm Lee will forgo his senior

UCLA guard Malcolm Lee will forgo his senior season and enter the NBA draft with an agent, Bruins coach Ben Howland confirmed Tuesday. Lee, 6-foot-5, had previously announced he was only testing the waters of the NBA draft without an agent, thus preserving his NCAA eligibility, but he said Tuesday that he changed his mind Carrera Sunglasses. "After speaking to my family, I have carefully weighed all of my options, and at this time, I have decided to hire an agent and withdraw from my classes," Lee said in a statement. "My dream has always been to play in the NBA and I think that this is the best time for me to try and make that a reality Oakley Sunglasses." More On UCLAFor the latest news on UCLA, check out ESPN Los Angeles' blog on the Bruins. Blog Lee averaged 13.1 points for the Bruins last season and is considered one of the top perimeter defenders in the nation. He earned All Pac-10 and Pac-10 All-defensive team honors Chanel Sunglasses, but is thought by many to be a year away from being NBA ready.

We kind of went back to that same story

Q: What are those options? A: I could go play overseas or I could go be a graduate assistant some place. Q: You were the unofficial team spokesperson. Who do you think will fill that role? A: I guess I'd have to say Kenny Frease cheap designer sunglasses. Obviously (Holloway) is going to be there and Cheeks (Mark Lyons) is going to be there. But Kenny will probably be the guy that they're going to want to be in front of the camera. He's doing a great job. I'm putting my money on Kenny. Q: Best Chris Mack story? A: Last year - I'm not sure where we were, maybe Wake Forest? He told us a story about going outside the wire. I guess it's a military term and his brother was in the military. When you're on base you're safe, and when you go off base you're not safe Bvlgari Sunglasses. He just talked about how we needed each and everybody on our team when we go outside the wire ... It kind of stuck with me because I think at the time last year, we hadn't won on the road. And it really kind of meant something. I know for this year's team Police Sunglasses, we kind of had the same kind of struggles. We kind of went back to that same story.

Hopefully I make the right decision

Q: What will you miss most? A: My teammates, and the interaction day-in, day-out. I feel like I had the best teammates in the country. The other five seniors are great. Being able to tell people out there - Jordan Crawford, NBA, I played with. Derrick Brown, NBA, I played with Ray Ban Sunglasses. Tu Holloway, eventually in the NBA. I've had opportunities to play with great people. Q: Favorite game moment? A: I think I'll have to say the West Virginia game my freshman year, simply because it was so dramatic. There were so many twists and turns in that game with B.J. (Raymond) hitting his shots, Josh (Duncan) hitting his shots ... it was a great game Burberry Sunglasses, not to mention what we were playing for, which was the Elite Eight. Q: What's next for you? A: I graduate in May with a degree in liberal arts and communication. I'm not sure what I'll do next. I want to go into coaching at some point ... but I'm finding it hard to really give up playing basketball. So I've got a couple options Miu Miu Sunglasses. I'm going to sit down and weigh which one makes more sense for me, long term. Hopefully I make the right decision.

Something about the regular season

Something about the regular season to the post-season has not translated over the past three years in Texas, where they have been knocked out in the first or second round Versace Sunglasses. complexion of the Xavier men's basketball team is about to change as its most vocal player prepares to graduate. Dante Jackson, a two-time Connie Brown Award winner as the Musketeers' most inspirational player, leaves a legacy that includes 107 wins, tied with teammate Joe Hughes for second most in school history, and seven NCAA tournament wins. Jason Love holds the school record with 108 career wins. Jackson was a key defensive player and averaged 7.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and about two assists as a senior Bvlgari Sunglasses. After giving a humorous and emotional speech at the banquet last week, Jackson looked back at his career and discussed what opportunities could be ahead. Question: What was the best part about playing at Xavier? Answer: The winning. ... I knew coming in that we had an opportunity to win, but once you get here and you're here for a year or two Gucci Sunglasses, then you realize the magnitude of how much you really win.

There is this popular T-shirt in the United States

There is this popular T-shirt in the United States, usually worn by men with rounded bellies and hairlines that converge to the middle of their heads, that reads: Old Guys Rule. Alas, if it were only true Coach Sunglasses, Adriana Lima would have been chasing after me instead of a Serbian basketball player. Old in the NBA is what you might call relative. Kobe Bryant is fairly old at 32, but Jason Kidd is old at 38 while Shaquille O'Neal is even older at 39. The Boston Celtics are old, and I am pretty sure it is a requirement for team entry. They looked old last year, of course, and then made it all the way to Game 7 of the NBA Finals. They look even older now. They just went 11-10 to finish off the regular season Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses. That is not called rolling into the post-season. I think the old teams are in trouble. If the Celtics are not upset by the New York Knicks in the first round, then they will be by the Miami Heat in the second. The Los Angeles Lakers are pretty old, with Bryant and Derek Fisher (37) in the backcourt, but Fisher's been old now for 10 years, so he doesn't really count Armani Sunglasses. I suspect the Dallas Mavericks, however, are in big trouble. Of course, every post-season the Mavericks are in trouble.

and Luol Deng can have 25 any day

Bold Prediction #3: Both 3 seeds will lose in Round 1 The Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks each have 56+ wins. They have at least one star and have experience, knowledge, and the ability to beat any team. Unfortunately for them, the luck of the draw didn't play out in their favor, as both 6 seeds can play Versace Sunglasses. Although the C's and Mavs are great, certain disadvantages will send them home early. Boston's original "Big Three" is now 33, 34, and 35, and although each one of them can shoot well and put up big numbers, they are becoming more inconsistent. The New York Knicks, on the other hand, have experienced players in Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Chauncey Billups, and talented young players in Toney Douglas and Landry Fields. Portland has shown that they can compete with anyone, and that Wesley Matthews and LaMarcus Aldridge can lead a team far. They will need a contribution from Brandon Roy Bvlgari Sunglasses, because his 12 PPG has hurt the Blazers. Still, both of those teams can and will send Boston and Dallas home early. Bold Prediction #4: The Chicago Bulls will coast through the East Although they might not have displayed it in Game 1, the Chicago Bulls can play and they can beat anyone. Plus, they showed great comeback ability in Game 1, and they swung the momentum of the series. The Bulls clinched home-court by beating New Jersey on the last game of the season, and they are now 37-5 at the United Center. It is very hard to knock Chicago off at the United Center, and even if Chicago is away from home, it is hard to beat them. Derrick Rose can take the ball to the rack and score 40 any day, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah can have a 25-15 any day Gucci Sunglasses, and Luol Deng can have 25 any day.

OKC can win a championship this year

He has some grea players to work with Coach Sunglasses, like Kevin Durant, and he can easily make a player better by driving to the hoop and feeding someone the ball. Westbrook's contribution has been a big reason why Oklahoma City went 55-27 and has home-court in the first round. Westbrook averages over 21 points per game Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses, and he is definitely another rising star in the league. Westbrook, Derrick Rose, Deron Williams, and Rajon Rondo have shown a lot of promise and leadership for years to come, and the journey starts here. Westbrook and the Thunder will have to take down Denver in the first round, a team they beat 3-1 in the regular season, and most likely San Antonio in the second round. It will be hard, but if Westbrook steps up and accepts a much bigger role Armani Sunglasses, OKC can win a championship this year.

What Will Be the most likely upset

Bold Prediction #1: The Miami Heat will lose in Round 2 The Miami Heat have had a great year, going 58-24 and locking up the second seed with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at the helm. The team has gone through great stretches Christian Dior Sunglasses, and they won 49 of their last 65 games. So why is it that they will lose so early? The answer is simple. Teams that have a couple stars (like Boston) can handle winning games alone in the regular season, but in the playoffs, they need bench support. The team also needs to play together well and get more assists. Every member of the Big 3 had decreasing assist numbers. The Heat need players like Eddie House Oakley Sunglasses Cheap, Udonis Haslem, Mike Bibby and Mario Chalmers to step up, and that is a huge load to carry, considering the Heat will have to face Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e and the Knicks or the Big Four of Boston. In Game 1, they almost let Philadelphia beat them at their home court. Bold Prediction #2: Russell Westbrook will play amazingly well What Will Be the most likely upset Arnette Sunglasses? The good news for Fredette is that

The good news for Fredette is that he is probably well aware of all of this. In the next few months, Fredette will tailor his game around the style of the NBA.. He has shown a great deal of improvement over the past four years Prada Sunglasses, and will continue to improve on the intangibles of his game. Bolstering his athleticism will be the most important thing he does. There is certainly a place for Fredette in the NBA, but don't expect him to dominate anywhere near the way he has at BYU. If his work habits decline, expect him to be out of the league very quickly. Expect Fredette to fall short of superstar status in the pros, but still be an excellent spot-up shooter Louis Vuitton Sunglasses, and a solid contributor for several years. The NBA Playoffs has people on their heels, but just like March Madness, upsets and sleeper players are a huge part of why the NBA Playoffs is so great. From Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant having great years to Chris Bosh taking a step down to Amar'e Stoudemire's amazing 9 game stretch in 2010, this season has been full of surprises and action. Let's see what surprises (and action) will greet us in the playoffs Replica Oakley Sunglasses. Here are 5 bold predictions for the NBA Playoffs.

to players who face tougher competition

Second, his point-guard skills are certainly there, but his athleticism to play the position is probably not where it needs to be Fendi Sunglasses. Fredette can push the ball up the court, but today's NBA players are so fast that he would have trouble creating his own shot against someone like Russell Westbrook. Third, Fredette does a fine job staying in front of college basketball players, but in order for him to see significant playing time, he needs to substantially improve his defense. There are NBA players like Derrick Rose Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses, Steve Nash, and Chris Paul who combine superior crossover skills with the ability to use their athleticism to find passing lanes. Fredette isn't at the point where he's capable of defending those types of players. Fourth, even though he has done well against tough competition, it's still hard for many scouts to disregard the fact that he's played mainly against rather weak competition over the course of the college season Ferragamo Sunglasses. That's certainly not Fredette's fault, and scouts know that, but it does weaken his stock when compared to players who face tougher competition.

Walker could graduate by the end of this summer and said completing his degree is still a priority, though it may not happen that quickly. "I'm going to take all the time I need to graduate," he said Chanel Sunglasses.

I don't care how anybody wants to sugarcoat it

"I don't care how anybody wants to sugarcoat it, but the reality is that [the Mavericks] have had some significant failures in the postseason," Anthony said, "and I think they're going to matchup against a team in Portland that is going to have a lot of confidence in playing against them and has had some success Ray Ban Sunglasses." MAVERICKS in 7 (4) OKLAHOMA CITY vs. (5) DENVER The young Thunder were certainly the Lakers' biggest hurdle in last year's Western Conference playoffs and may prove to be again in the 2010-11 campaign. Kevin Durant is the NBA's best pure scorer and Russell Westbrook can get to the basket at will against just about everyone. Kendrick Perkins, meanwhile, brings toughness and interior defense to the middle, something that was lacking last year. Denver took off after dealing Carmelo Anthony, turning into a much more well-rounded team that is more defensive-minded and shares the basketball. That said, the Nuggets just don't have the horses to compete with OKC Burberry Sunglasses. "Denver is one of those teams that is difficult to prepare for because they don't really have one guy you can focus on or that you want to take away," Anthony said. Charlie Sheen pulled it off: The not-so-funny man’s one-man show made a rather shockingly easy escape from New York on Sunday night Ray Ban Sunglasses. Like the unpredictable sitcom star, Sheen’s road show has had its share of highs and lows since his opening night flop at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on April 2. Surviving the notorious tough Big Apple audience, however, should serve as a big shot of confidence for Sheen and provide a much-needed momentum boost as he heads into Boston Tuesday night. He tackles Toronto with a two-night stand that begins Thursday Burberry Sunglasses. For pop culture fans keeping score, the embattled warlock opened his three-show go this past weekend with a disastrous night at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall. But every time the 45-year-old’s “My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option” tour looks like it’s about to receive its final death blow, the resilient star rebounds Miu Miu Sunglasses. Sheen not only won over the Connecticut audience on Saturday, but redeemed himself Sunday night at Radio City. He’s scheduled to wrap the 20-city tour in Seattle on May 3.

What excites me the most is that I feel like, little by little

"What excites me the most is that I feel like, little by little, all of world cinema feels welcome at Cannes. It's really a worldwide platform, it's not just a French festival." A-listers who will appear include Sean Penn ("This Must Be the Place," "Tree of Life"), Johnny Depp for Rob Marshall's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" (which is screening out of competition) and Mel Gibson in a rare Riviera (or anywhere else for that matter) appearance with Jodie Foster's "The Beaver," also screening out of competition Versace Sunglasses. Brad Pitt will likely also be on hand for "Tree of Life" and Angelina Jolie for "Kung Fu Panda 2," which is not an official festival screening. As previously announced, Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris," starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy will open the festival out of competition Bvlgari Sunglasses. French President Nicolas Sarkozy is not expected to attend. Although there are no U.S. films listed among the competition aside from "Tree of Life," Fremaux has a habit of adding titles in the days leading to the festival. Robert De Niro is the competition jury president this year, while Emir Kusturica oversees the Un Certain Regard jury. The remaining jury members will be announced next week.

So it is with relief that Lost in Showbiz can report

So it is with relief that Lost in Showbiz can report that Day has apparently forgiven Sheen and called a cessation to all anti-Sheen necromancy. "All in all, I think my experience with Mr Sheen is done. I appreciated that he said he was not a warlock and looks at it as a fun thing. He may still be using the word warlock, but at least he's being clear he's not really one Coach Sunglasses," he explained, after witnessing Sheen's Torpedo of Truth tour in Boston, concluding: "He's being a twit." LiS choses to ignore those who raise an eyebrow at a grown man who walks around in a cape, eyeliner and a pointy witch's hat calling anyone else a twit and instead marvels at the brilliant insight into human behaviour clearly afforded those who master the dark arts. Besides, Day now has other celebrity victims in his sights, namely Natalie Portman: he is currently trying to organise a boycott of her fantasy comedy film Your Highness in protest at what he terms its anti-warlock message Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses. Fuming once more, he calls the film "an assault on taste" for featuring "a warlock who hopes to deflower helpless virgins and rule the world". "I hope people boycott this movie and movies like it so that Hollywood is inspired to release more positive films about witches and warlocks," he says. You see? You thought he was just a berk in a hat, but in reality he is a campaigner against prejudice and for equality! A freedom fighter! He's Martin Luther Warlock! Lost in Showbiz lights its special-offer Red Penis Candle in tribute and says: if on a visit to Sea World you chance upon a manatee that has an indefinable ring of Padme Amidala, Queen of Naboo Armani Sunglasses, about it, don't say you weren't warned.

There were those who felt that Sheen perhaps had

There were those who felt that Sheen perhaps had bigger things to worry about than a chubby goth waving a skull about and fuming, but LiS has looked deep into Day's credentials. It has read the online biography that not only puffs his psychic abilities but, with a certain crushing inevitability Christian Dior Sunglasses, contains the phrase "Christian Day has appeared on Living TV". It has visited his online webstore Hex, with its keen grasp of its target market – "for all those who have called out to the spirits in a graveyard during the dead of night, who have stood in a thunderstorm to command the winds, who have pricked a finger to set the spell with their own blood . . . Hex is for you" – and its array of bargains Oakley Sunglasses Cheap. How different Mother's Day might have been had LiS learned sooner that the Red Penis Candle is currently on special offer, reduced from $12.99 to $11.04 (£6.76). It has taken note of the events on offer at his "psychic parlour" Omen, and likes the sound of the two-hour class on Revenge Magic with Leanne Marrama, who carries with her the ultimate accolade, the certification that proves beyond doubt her mastery of the dark arts, "as seen on TV's What Not To Wear". Sadly, when LiS clicked on the website for Day's Sorcery of the Sun event – "join the Salem witches for the first harvest as they cast a spell of summer over the city" – it was greeted only by a humorous photo of a manatee and the message "I've changed!", which gave it serious pause. Perhaps that manatee had once been a journalist Arnette Sunglasses , now damply ruing the day he incurred Christian Day's wrath by mocking his ju-ju powers in between trying to avoid the propellers of boats and mating only once every two years.

Photograph: Jason Laveris/FilmMagicSo often fated to be the bearer of bad tidings for celebrities, Lost in Showbiz is delighted, for once Prada Sunglasses, to be in receipt not merely of good news, but good news for Charlie Sheen. You may recall, some weeks back, this column reporting that the woes of the troubled former star of Two and a Half Men had been compounded by news that he had upset not just the ex-wife whose head he allegedly threatened to chop off and send to her mother, but a former advertising executive turned self-styled warlock, necromancer, "child of darkness" and "Howard Stern of witchcraft" (no, LiS isn't 100% certain what that means either). His name is Christian Day Louis Vuitton Sunglasses, of the Salem, Massachusetts-based Coven of the Raven Moon, and he was apparently left "fuming" by Sheen describing himself as a warlock. "This is a blatant offence against our ways," he protested, before threatening to "magically bind" Sheen in a cleansing ceremony that would "send him ideas – directly into his head, via light – against maligning warlocks in the future" Replica Oakley Sunglasses. "Not to harm him," he added, having presumably considered Sheen's behaviour in recent months and concluded: he looks like a man who really needs someone to magically send ideas into his head.

and make a stand that they stay with you

There it is, the "Dear John" email everyone dreads receiving. Out of the blue, one of your clients wants to end their relationship with you. Shaken, your emotions suddenly go careening on a roller coaster ride, beginning with disbelief, making a quick stop in anger, then settling into a knot of panic in the pit of your stomach at the thought of all that lost 1ncome. ?? But do you really have to settle for losing a client?? Probably not. In fact, a client's notice that they want to quit CAN be an opportunity to not only keep your client Coach Sunglasses, but to strengthen the bond you have with them.? Here are 4 simple tips to support you if this situation should happen to you!? Tip #1 Skip The Drama (It's Not About You Anyway!)? Please repeat after me, "Your client's decision has NOTHING to do with you!" Their decision is personal to them, not to you. Keep this in mind and you'll stay calm and resourceful so you can confidently handle this event. ?? Resist the urge to think you could have done more or didn't give enough! Very often, their reason for leaving is because they've come face to face with their own doubts or fears. You adding your own to the mix won't help. Instead, focus on the value your work has already brought to your client, and will continue to bring to them should they decide to stay on board.? Tip #2 Trust Your Intuition (Tap Into What Their REAL Reason Is)? I recently had a client who wanted to leave a year-long program. When I checked in with my intuition, and connected to her in my heart, I could instantly feel that she was experiencing emotions that had nothing to do with the program. ?? Connecting to her in this way allowed me to have a supportive conversation with her that resulted in her happily continuing in the program (she laughingly said she knew I wasn't going to let her off that easy anyway!) Which leads me to tip number three.? Tip #3 Don't Be Too Quick To Let A Client Go (The Reason Will Surprise You!)? The primary reason a client will want to bale out of your program isn't because of money, time or competing obligations Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses . I know that's what they tell you but those reasons are just a smoke screen for the REAL reason, which is fear. ?? Your client hired you because they want to make a significant transformation in their life or business. It's natural for a part of them to panic and want to back out because that part is deathly afraid of anything changing. Understanding that fear is the reason behind their request to quit will help you to be compassionate and loving, yet take a strong stand for continuing on together.? Tip #4 Speak To What They Want, Not To What They Fear (They'll Thank You For It!)? The stand I take is that this is an opportunity for a breakthrough. I acknowledge them for where they are and that it's natural to be afraid. I remind them that feeling fear means they are pushing past their comfort zone and stretching into what it is they want more of. I also point out that if they give in to fear now, it will never stop running their life, which we both know isn't what they want.? Is this tough love? Yes. Is it difficult or scary to have a conversation like this with a client who wants to leave? No. Remember, you are holding what's possible for your client even when at that moment, they can't hold it for themselves. ?? For example, one of my Platinum clients recently filled several coaching program with excited participants. Just as the programs started a few students emailed to say they needed to quit due to finances. Undaunted, my client emailed them back, first acknowledging they were experiencing normal resistance, then she suggested that this was an opportunity to grow, and reminded them that she had faith in that abundance. The results? In each case her participants decided to continue!? You and your client have a relationship and like any relationship, it's going to have it's ups and downs, the occasion difficult moment and of course, celebrations Armani Sunglasses. If you let your client give up too soon, you'll never get to the celebration phase. ?? So, the next time you have a client whose fear inspires them to quit your service, be willing to stand by them, stand up for them, and make a stand that they stay with you!?

With more news coming in every day about companies hitting the wall

With more news coming in every day about companies hitting the wall, it's fair to say that even if we manage to escape a full-blown recession, it's going to be a pretty bumpy ride for the next few months, if not years. So, what can organisations do to make themselves rececession-proof? My personal credo is that "successful companies employ successful individuals" ' and in my opinion the best way for companies to survive ' let alone thrive - is to invest all they can in personal leadership and coaching for their staff. Now, don't get me wrong Christian Dior Sunglasses, I know that training costs come out of profit not turnover ' and that when times are hard, it's easiest to raid the training piggy bank first. But doing so has to be false economy. At the heart of any successful organisation is its key asset ' its people. Developing people in terms of solely achieving the organisation's principle objectives is no longer enough. It's only when those corporate objectives are aligned with employees' personal goals that the magic really starts to happen. Most training run in companies focuses on improving skills ' but as the diagram shows, skills are only the tip of the iceberg. Long-lasting improvement only comes about when habits are changed - but this can only happen when staff learn how to tap into their own deep reservoirs of personal motivation. Will-power alone isn't enough to change a habit. Motivation is the key. Personal motivation is where it's at if you want your company to increase profits, beat the recession - and boost employee retention levels. To get a decent return on investment, every employee needs to understand themselves and their motivations properly. Employees only give their best when they have their own "personal reason why". If a company is to grow and succeed, it must adopt a policy of enabling its employees the freedom to "help themselves" first. As we've already seen, habits are the key to staff effectiveness. Great habits need to be created before new skills are taught. But habits don't get changed unless ' and until ' there is the personal motivation to do so. All motivation is personal ' and when training fails, it's because employees are neither "engaged" nor motivated. Few organisations ' or training providers for that matter ' understand the need to put the correct building blocks in place, and in the right order Oakley Sunglasses Cheap. Putting the correct foundations in place means that employees need to undergo sufficient personal development in order to be able to articulate ' and feel passionate about ' their personal goals. Worryingly, it's estimated that about 90% of the employed population have no personal goals. And yet organisations only achieve phenomenal success when employees are able to align their personal goals with those of their employer. It has to make sense, therefore, to ensure that the employee first has his or her personal goals in place. People without goals or a "personal reason why" naturally tend towards negative thoughts and negative behaviour. And like panic, negativity is contagious. If negativity is the lock ' motivation is the key. But even helping employees find their "personal reason why" isn't enough to safeguard a business against recession. Something else is needed. That something is maintenance. And that's where ongoing coaching comes in. Coaching not only fosters a positive win:win relationship between an employer and employee but it also enables the latter to focus on achieving his or her personal goals. Good coaches ' especially those whose services are paid for by the coachee's employer - know how to translate and link an individual's goals to the company's aims and objectives. And when companies and staff share objectives in this way Arnette Sunglasses, they become strong allies ' and a force to be reckoned with in recessionary times.Article Tags: Onal Goal

Your small business probably enters into more contracts than you think

Your small business probably enters into more contracts than you think. Every time you buy something, or sell something, you are entering into a contract Prada Sunglasses. It doesn’t matter if you have, or your client has, to sign something or not. However, every single time you enter into a contract, it’s unlikely you can afford to draft in a lawyer. It is worthwhile speaking to your lawyer about how your small business could use standard terms and conditions to govern the relationships you have with your clients. That way you’ll be better equipped to handle any unexpected problems that may arise in the future. As a small business owner, knowing the basics of contract law is vital to understanding what is binding and what is not. However, when you are not sure about anything, it is usually best to first consult with your lawyer who has had experience in dealing with similar issues in the past.? Your accountant may also be able to help with some small business legal issues Louis Vuitton Sunglasses. When Do You Know A Contract Has Been Formed? When one side makes an offer and the other side accepts without qualification a contract is formed. This can be done in writing, through the signing of a contract, over the telephone, in an email, or in person. Therefore, your company doesn’t have to start the work, or your client does not have to pay you before a contract is formed. They are bound to pay you, and you are bound to do work from them, from the moment the offer and acceptance takes place. If both parties agree, however, the contract can usually be cancelled. How Do I Make My Standard Terms Apply? If you have standard terms and conditions of trade, that you want to be included in how the courts will interpret your contract, then it’s not simply enough to have them. Your client needs to know about them and, in most cases, accept them too. If your sales process does not allow for your client to review the terms and conditions before you close a sale, then make sure your sales agent covers the main points of the contract when speaking to the client. Then send a copy of your standard terms out to the client directly after you close the sale, and on the back of all invoices from there. What If The Company Promises Something And Their Terms and Conditions Don’t?If you’re buying something from a company, and they tell you something over the telephone or in person then it will usually be fine. In legal theory, it should form part of your agreement. That is, unless the terms and conditions contain a clause limiting the agreement to what is said in the agreement Replica Oakley Sunglasses. However, it is best practise to write, or send an email, to the company and clarify the points discussed in your conversation and ensure the company’s agent responds accepting that they agree with everything that you have stated. Printing on paper has been one of the computer’s foremost tasks. A hardcopy of, for instance, your documents or photographs is essentially more functional than their softcopy counterparts. Although the computer technology has evolved so much since its dawn, the printer underwent not as much.Printing derived from typewritersThe first computer printers evolved from manual typewriters. A typewriter stamps characters on paper by metal hammers hitting an inked ribbon placed before the paper Fendi Sunglasses. These hammers contain the molded letters, numbers, punctuation marks and others. Eventually the manual kind was replaced by electric typewriters. Electric typewriters made printing on paper much faster because it used single element mechanism – a ball, cylinder or daisy wheel – where the characters are molded. The element moves along the paper, and not the other way around. The first printers were derived from this mechanism, only that the computer directs the machine, instead of human fingers.Line after lineAs computers became better and better, the first few types of printers could not keep up. The line printer was developed, which prints and entire line at a time instead of its predecessor’s one character at once. What makes printing much faster this time is the mechanism – composed of drums, bars or trains – which hit the ribbon almost all together, so the entire line is printed on paper in one maneuver. Line printers are still in use today. Much of the bills or receipts you get are most likely still printed using this technology. They are also, by the way, among the last of the impact type printers – printing characters on paper by means of a striking mechanism.Making the most of matrixSince the miniaturization of computers, peripherals too need to match their shrinking size. Printing need not be extremely fast all the time; they also need to be inexpensive and highly functional – much like the matrix printer. A matrix printer uses a pattern of dots located on the print head, which glides smoothly across each line on the paper to imprint characters. Given that the pattern of dots is controlled by the computer, the number of different characters that may be printed is almost limitless. They can also manage graphics and line drawings. The coming out of ink-jetInk-jet printers can be found in just about any home or office with a desktop computer Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses. Among the many advantages of printing with the ink-jets: they do not cost much since their structure and mechanism is fairly simpler; they operate almost silently compared to their predecessors; they can print on almost any type of paper, including transparent plastic sheets; color is reproduced on paper with exceptional accuracy. Ink-jet printers work by ejecting tiny bubbles of ink towards the paper, which dries instantly upon hitting the surface. One of the most common methods of ejecting the ink is thermal, where the ink is heated rapidly to produce a steam bubble.Lately it’s laserA laser printer works by using a pattern of dots. This time, however, the dots are much more consistent and precise than its predecessors. Printing, since the dawn of laser printers, became faster, indelible and more accurate. Good desktop laser printers can print characters that, even under magnification, no ink dots are perceptible. The downside to the print quality of lasers is the cost Ferragamo Sunglasses. Color laser printers, although astounding at reproducing photographs, cost way above than most of their counterparts
